I hope you all had a lovely Xmas with your friends and family. I had a lovely Xmas with my huge family; seeing all the young un's transformed from cute cousins into streetwise young adults, eating yummy Xmas food, and feeling that lovely sense of belonging to my big, bustly, happy (and noisey) clan. I'm back home now and I am celebrating Xmas/New Years with my friends so I get the fun, the noise, doubley fat (and all of that clearing up to do) all over again.
Whilst I was away I received a lovely letter with a CD of bag pics from Anne in UK. Ever since Anne first bought some bag making bits from my site a few months back she would be the first to tell you that she has caught the bag making bug in a big way. She began by embellishing ready-made bags and selling these bags for Breast Cancer research. She has raised over £400 for the charity in this way which is absolutely amazing!
Anne later sent me a really touching email telling me that bag making has given her creativity a longed for outlet and that it has made her happy in other ways too. To be told by a someone that your service or product has a part to play in making them happy is just wonderful (it really doesn't get better that that!) Anne says that she is really enjoying bag making a whole lot and she is finding it therapeutic too "I find I can't wait to start the next bag..." I'm really glad that she is having a good time!
Having mastered bag embellishment, Anne has now moved onto making her own bags from scratch, and having signed up to a couple of craft fairs she hopes to begin selling them soon. I think if she can raise so much money for charity she will be well able to make some beans for herself too!
