I always love seeing your bag pictures; it's fun to see what you have done with your bag making bits and pieces. You lot are so creative: I always end up thinking 'wow that's YUM!'; I would've never thought of doing that', or 'putting that there', or 'putting those colours/fabrics together'. So thanks to everyone who sends them in, they brighten my day!
If your pics aren't here, I will have put them in my Inspiration Gallery in my shop. I'm a little bit slow at doing this because I have so many of your lovely pics to upload, but bear with me, and please keep sending them because I love 'em all, and you folks like admiring them too :)
By Jenna in USA. Can you believe it when she says "I'm so proud of my first bag! I've sewn for years and years, but never worked with leather before..." What!!?? I have worked with leather before and it can be a right cow
(heh! Heh!) to manipulate. It's an amazing first bag, and hand
stitched too.
This is what sisters Debbie & Judy in UK got up to one weekend. "We had great fun and even put a zip pocket and mobile phone pockets inside. We made glasses cases with the leftovers". I can really identify with this because I love crafternoons with my sister. I'm glad they had a nice time (and a productive too) the bags are so well made, and very pretty!
Katie in UK managed to get her lucky mitts on some beautiful wool fabrics and then she whipped up this rather posh, and rather lovely Carpet Bag. "The lining is a really nice wool pinstripe that I got from my friend
Geoff in Bradford market. So that means that the whole bag is 100%
wool" (I could do with friends like that!) Katie forund the nice
exterior wool after a good rummage around in London Soho fabric shop -
a girl after my own heart!
