Door (and sanity!) Keeper.
In the morning when you are just about to leave the house do you ever have a conversation with your loved one that goes along the lines of:
"Have you seen my keys/mobile phone/train pass, wallet/purse" (delete as necessary).
"No I haven't, have you checked the jeans/trousers/coat that you where wearing last night?"
"Yes!!! of course I have, weren't YOU driving last night. Where have YOU put the keys?" etc. etc. etc. and so another smooth, and relaxed morning with the family passes...
Yup, of course you HAVE had this very conversation in your house before. I've even had it with myself when living alone!
You can leave these essentials in a bowl in the hallway, or the bedside table, but I thought I'd make something purpose built, and pretty. I also chose to make the Door (& sanity) Keeper for Sewing World Magazine. This month the theme was quick & easy, and the colour orange. So here she is!
Front View. One pocket with darts for your purse, another two pockets for your mobile phone and for your travel/train card, or shopping list etc. Two clip hooks for your sets of keys.
Side view. I have used a good amount of interfacing, this fabric and this fabric, one of these bag handles, two of these hooks.

Close up view. I'm sooo glad that my hair doesn't look like that anymore :)

Hang it on your bedroom door, on a hook in the hallway, or anywhere on the way to your front door. So, that's one less thing to get stressed out about in the mornings!
I might make another version of the Door (sanity) keeper as a blog tutorial if enough of you want it.
