Other Crafty Goings On
Thanks for your kind comments about my Piping and Stripe Bag. Find out what is going to happen this very bag in my next post....
Woo Hoo Diddly Doo!! I've had such a busy day (it's not over yet!) and a really nice day too. In between packing a mountain load of orders I have:
- had some lovely chats with customers on the phone (which is always nice, because they invariably end up in having a bit of a gossip!)
- been contacted by two USA craft websites that are pretty darn huge, (and who I really admire). Etsy, and Sew Mama Sew, have asked me to contribute to their sites in some shape or form. They both said they liked my site and blog! Like, you what, me???!!! Mmmpppff....speechless!
- I did spot of blog surfing during whilst munching on my lunch; a bacon, tomato, avocado and homemade garlic mayo sandwich (my breath is now garlicky, am I concerned? Nope! I'd eat another in a heart beat!), and I found some pretty stuff to share with you folks.
Sew Mama Sew wrote me an email thanking me for entering my bags into their Bag Month Flickr. This USA site is having a 'bag-stravaganza' in June and July (I've always wanted to say that!) why not pop over and add your bags to their Flickr; I've added my 'tuppence' worth - I couldn't resist!
I also received an email from Etsy asking me to pass the word around about their fabulous contest in which you can win a whole bunch of seriously good prizes (a shiny new sewing machine, anyone?). They were also wondering if I would like to make a tutorial for their up and coming brand spanking new newsletter...and I said BUT OF COURSE!!! :)
This is the logo (which is so cute it hurts!) for Etsy's & Instructables Sew Useful Contest. The contest is for creating a tutorial for something useful... Not only could you win a brilliant prize you would be helping a great charity too...
Aided by my whiffy sandwich I found these drool worthy distractions :
- Zoe has not only designed some yummy fabric, she's gone and had it printed too...drool!
- Chiara, is a lovely Italian customer of my shop and she has just gotten her very cute website up and running. Have a look at her bags, and other lovely items, deee-licious!!
- The talented seamstress that is Craft Apple has a lovely pic of all of the handmade bags that she has made. If you have more handmade bags than she does, you might be able to win something...
- A cute triangular cosmetics bag anyone? Check out this tutorial.
- Liz has her own very website where she sells her own cute handmade cards and bags, and she has a full-job!
Check back tomorrow do discover the fate of the Piping and Stripe bag, and I had better do a Bag Eye Candy post as well...

Tee hee - so pleased for you. More tutorials can only be a good thing!

I've just found your blog/shop - it took me a moment to realise that I was looking as £s not $s, then it took a few more moments for happy reality to sink in. A great UK site. Yippee! I've just started my bag making oddysey and I forsee many 'trips' to your shop.
AND great tutorials - what more can a crafter ask?
