The cutest car in the whole wide world
I'm quite a simple girl (in many ways!) and I don't have many needs in life, but should I ever be given briefcase of money 'for safe keeping' by a criminal on the run...I would go straight out and put a down payment on this Nissan Figaro car in green...
.
My dream car, I mean do you drive it, eat it, or give it a cuddle?
If there are any criminals out there who require reliable and discreet storage facilities please feel free to contact me day or night on: 08907777777777
What is your dream mode of transport?

Just discovered your blog a few days ago. Love it. Love the car. If I could, I'd get my Miata back that I gave up when I had kids. But I can't give up the kids....

A TOYOTA of course !
Maybe the Toyota RiN Concept car… it’s really cute and environmentally friendly!

I think I would want a Prius or some other green energy car. Did you know that a scientist in Erie, Pennsylvania recently discovered that he could burn saltwater (http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/07252/815920-85.stm)?
I love the little green car. I love all the cute cars Europeans drive. The only problem is here in the U.S. you would get run over by all the huge trucks and SUV vehicles ;)

ohmygosh, I know a girl with this exact car - even in mint green! She loves that thing... There was a garage by Cambridge Heath station that had about 3-4 of these on its front lot at any given time. I used to pass it every day when I lived around there. So cute!
I think it's mandatory to wear a big 1950s style head scarf and giant sunglasses when travelling in one of these, though.

Yessir, that is one cute car! But for me? Any make, model, or colour - as long as George Clooney was at the wheel!
Posted by: Maplesyrup1 | March 11, 2008 at 02:34 PM
It's a treasure, indeed! (I'm not a fan of this color, but even so it looks adorably retro) You should follow your dreams ;) who knows!
Wish you the best of luck in that pursuit (and not only!)!

OMG, that is cute! So cute. I'll take one in pink, thank you.

Well Maple - you can have a TOYOTA with George Clooney at the wheel:

Gosh I love these cars too - there are two near my house and whenever I see them I drool. I also used to live around the corner from a VW Karmann Ghia, and that was pretty cute too.
My dream mode of transport is chauffeur driven, if I'm honest.

You are so inspiring, keep it comin'! My dream car would have to be a 1953 Sunbeam-Talbot Alpine Sports. This is the car Grace Kelly drove in the movie To Catch A Thief, tooling around the French Riviera and picnicing with Cary Grant. Cruising around in that car, I wouldn't care where I was going-getting groceries might actually be fun!

Well, now THAT is my dream car. I have never ever seen a photo of one of those before, but it is perfect, right down to the color! How much does one of those cost, anyway?
Posted by: Kathi D | March 11, 2008 at 08:20 PM
I too would have THIS car! Isn't it adorable. There are a few around my town and I can't help but drool over them when I see them. It also comes in duck egg blue!

Hmmm . . ok, the car is cute, but I had an old 79 diesel rabbit in high school that was that color--I think I always described as "if Pepto Bismol were green" tee hee.

Aaw, the Figaro is fab! They were fairly reasonable £££ too - when I first saw one I loved it and searched them out on the internet and didn't think they were overpriced.
I already have my dream car - a smart passion cabriolet, with air conditioning, heated seats and a mirrorball hanging off the rear view mirror!
This is my first post here, so I'll take the opportunity of saying hi to everyone, and thanking Lisa for such a wonderful site :)
Luv,
Lulu

A girl who lives near me has this car in pink....ooooh, the jealousy! x
Posted by: Florence | March 11, 2008 at 09:53 PM
Too cute - could we all club together and buy one?

This post really made me smile. I could just imagine you cuddling this cute little car. I think that I would like a dark blue smart car with white daisies on it. Is it practical? No, could hardly fit my handbag in it but cute nonetheless. Pity I drive a ford escort but I can get all my rubbish in it for the day job!
Posted by: Andrea | March 11, 2008 at 11:36 PM
There is an exact same one here, I saw it the other day and pointed it out to hubby, who laughed...
But my dream car would have to be a 1972 volkswagon beetle. Same age as me. LOL. It would probably run better than I do..

My daughter calls those Sarah Jane cars as it's the car Sarah Jane drove in the Dr Who spin off.
I drive my dream car, a soft top beetle. Love it! Used to have a 2CV and a Morris Minor both of which I adored too.

I love Mark II jags and had one as my wedding car many years ago. But i have pointed out the figaro to andrew a few times and drooled, they look almost edible

Oh my god! I love this car! There are a couple that drive around where I live and I always ask my "what's that car?" but he has no interest in anything with 4 wheels! If I couldn't have this car I would have a big, black, shiny Morris Minor.
Posted by: janine | March 12, 2008 at 05:54 PM
I am not really that car minded (not as much as my other half -z4 driver) but I do have a current obsession with the Mini. I have to have a sensible car as his is SO impractical! One day maybe.

I dream about mini cooper. I don't have a driving license and I don't want to have one, but mini cooper.. I think I could learn to drive just to have an excuse to buy this car... If I had more money :)

Aha! Even though I live in Nowheresville, I now can put a name to the cute little roadster I have seen outside our local Music shop! Nice!
My dream car is a Mini Moke!! For the Comedy value!
