...but first, I think I have found my wedding dress (in my dreams). LOVE it!!!
Pic from Sadler Wells. I could flamenco up the aisle :) We've been together over 10 years so no white dress for me... How tight are her abs?!?
Been working on this PDF pattern all week. I would have completed it sooner had I not accidentally deleted the finished pattern from my computer thus requiring me to start ALL over again; I had thrown the paper pattern away (what an utter numpty!)
This bag design is in my fave top 10 Lisa designed bags ever, I hope you like it too. I've already taken prototype no.2 out shopping in Liberty's habby dept. and had women there ohhing and ahhing over it (quite chuffed).
**This PDF pattern goes on sale 24th Feb. If you fancy a 25% discount on the pattern please sign up to the U-Handbag newsletter (using the orange box on the top right of the blog) before the end of Monday 23th (wherever you reside). I'll be sending out the newsletter with the discount code Tues 24th morning. If you're already signed up to the newsletter you don't need sign up again. Ta! **
Sorry about the squillions of pics, it's for when I sell the PDF pattern...
I think the bag looks kinda graphic-y, Boden-esque myself, but it can
also look all country folk/rock/floral/vintage/minimalist etc. chic with your choice of your own fabric combos.
Front. This bag is practical as it is good looking, it's a roomy size of 18" x 11" (46cm x 28cm), but it's not unwieldy. It will comfortably hold an unfolded mag/book, a bottle of water, an umbrella, cardigan, camera, snacks and the like, or it would make a fab nappy/diaper bag.
Big ol' roomy front pocket, for tube maps, sunglasses, tissues, tickets and blah... See the smart looking piped top edge (or is it?) In the pattern, I've included a quick-trick for looky likey top edge piping.
She's a curvy gal with a soft rounded bottom and darts for a puffy shape.
Top view. The back of the bag also has straps, but no pocket. You could always include a pocket on the back if you wanna.
Contest Details (please read carefully)
Okay, hopefully you know the drill by now :) I'll send prototype no.1 of this bag (which looks slightly different & is a little smaller) to one winner.
To enter all you have to do is comment on THIS PARTICULAR POST by:
- Picking a name for this PDF PATTERN. As a couple of pointers I tend NOT to name my items after girls names (such as 'Alice Purse' because IMHO that has little meaning...), instead I tend to lean towards names which in some way describe the item.
- Please DO NOT focus on the fabric of this bag as this is a pattern only. Ta!
THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED. SORRY.
Contest Official-ness :
