Thank you for giving me another year to love and to live. Thank you for giving me the promise of a whole new year to live and to love some more. There is much to enjoy now and to look forward to.
'Silver lining' (taken by my house earlier this month). When the sun broke through the clouds it became the sunniest day. Mabel and I were walking along the promenade and we met a very sweet old man seated at one of the beach shelters. The lovely chap was feeding the birds from a huge bag of crumbs. Whilst he and I had a nice chat he shared some crumbs with Mabel and taught her how to feed the birds. It's lovely to be able to stop a while and spend time getting to know someone you haven't met before - and now Mabel knows how to feed the birdies. Next year I am going to make a point of stopping more often to indulge in simple (and nourishing) pursuits like this.
I am fortunate enough to feel that I am fortunate. Since becoming a mother I feel even more blessed than ever. I hope you are able to feel blessed in your lives too. I know that there are many that cannot. Next year onward I will more contribute (not just comment). I'm a position to do so and I need to set a good example to my daughter.
I hope you had good year and you are feeling hopeful and happy to be entering the next one. I hope you are loved and you are able to return that love.
I also hope your sewing machines/knitting/tapestry/crochet needles/glue guns/carving/jewellery/toy making tools/you name it... are primed and ready for another year of big fat crafting action Let's go!! XX
